Opportunities for Support

Your Presence and Your Pre$ent

As a supporter of the Marty Lindley Foundation, you can help give healing and hope. Your business or individual gift of time and/or financial support will:

  • identify you, as an individual, or your staff and employees, as people who care about others,
  • distinguish you, as an individual, or your company as being concerned about life values, not just “bottom-line profit,”
  • help provide healing and hope to those in need,
  • allow you as an individual, or your staff and employees, to publicly recognize and thank those who provide compassionate and excellent care to New Braunfels and surrounding areas.

Health, shelter, food. Concerning these basic needs of life, the value of your support far exceeds any monetary value. However, as a business, club, organization, or individual, your sponsorship-support will help net more funds to benefit the selected non-profit organizations. These organizations provide incredible services, vital to adults and children of our community. Their volunteers and staff give selflessly of their time in order to help those in need.

Support the Foundation’s Major Fundraising Events

Music…Medicine for the Heart and Soul

The March 6th, 2014 “Music…Medicine for the Heart & Soul” event was the Foundation’s first major, annual fundraising event and featured six-time Grammy Winner and recording star, Amy Grant. The event was an incredible success, with all event proceeds (over $62,000) being donated to the four beneficiaries.

The event is a total volunteer effort. No salaries or wages are paid to the organizers or volunteers. Many of the costs have been reduced because of the support and generosity of the vendors. Amazing in-kind donations have been made. Cash contributions are needed and appreciated to underwrite all event expenses, thereby maximizing the amount available to donate to the selected non-profits. Every effort is being made to provide a high quality, special event at minimal expense.

Attend the Foundation’s Annual Medical Symposium

The Medical Symposium will be an annual symposium presented by the Foundation. The subject matter will vary, but a sarcoma cancer update will always be presented. The symposium’s focus will always be on educating the medical community about various types of medical conditions and the diagnosis, treatments, and prognosis.

Medical Symposium 2015 will be presented by the Marty Lindley Foundation on Saturday, April 11. This year’s symposium will facilitate the utilization of current research and evidence, to increase competence in the management and treatment of cancer patients.

Purchase Kids Club Art: Art for the Heart and Soul

The “Art for the Heart & Soul” annual art contest will allow students from 1st through 5th grade, who attend Kids Club, the opportunity to paint pictures depicting their interpretation of what “Music…Medicine for the Heart & Soul” means to them. The artwork created by participating students will be judged and five winners, one from each grade, will be announced. The winning art will be transferred onto note cards, which will be packaged and sold at selected retailers, online and at the MMHS event, as part of the fundraising activities for the Foundation’s major, annual event. The five original winning paintings will be displayed at the annual MMHS event and attendees will be given the opportunity to bid on each painting. Winning bidders will receive the framed, original art work and the satisfaction of knowing they have encouraged a kid, while supporting the non-profit organizations selected as beneficiaries of the Marty Lindley Foundation.

Additional Fundraising and Service Opportunities

Additional fundraising events will be organized to provide opportunities for participants to support the mission and purpose of the Foundation.
